places to eat - great food

You can dine in our quiet oak panelled dining lounge, where the food is mainly home cooked from fresh local produce. Look at our menu to see our wide range of delicious wholesome dishes. There is no genetically modified ingredient in any food served on the premises. Sunday Lunch Special, with children's portions available - booking is advisable. We have a Family Room, and there is a Children's menu with plenty of choices, and children's playground to cater for our younger guests.

The Snowdonia Park is listed in the CAMRA Real Ale Guide. Delicious Real Ales are brewed on the premises from the finest malts and hops, and clear Snowdonia water. Additionally, we serve Guest Ales, Marston's Pedigree and Bitter, 3 decent Lagers, Cider and Guinness, and we put real lemon in the Gin.

real ale brewed onsite

welsh highland railwayThe pub is in a idyllic mountain setting on the banks of the River Gwyrfai, in the village of Waunfawr, 4 miles from the foot of Snowdon. It is easy to find, being on the A4085 road between Beddgelert and Caernarfon (see map on main page).

The pub is situated right next to the railway station for the Welsh Highland Railway with its narrow gauge steam hauled locomotives (you can watch the trains while enjoying lunch or a drink in one of our beer gardens!). Snowdonia Park is an excellent location for lunch for those taking the round trip by train from Caernarfon. We produce a special ale named after the railway (Welsh Highland Bitter). We also have a campsite adjacent to the pub.

CHILDREN'S PARTIES

children's parties catered forWe cater for children's parties with a disco, clown or any other enterntainment by arrangement - please ask. We don't charge for the room, just £4.95 a head for the food. You provide the cake and balloons or decorations if you wish, and pay the entertainer. It takes most of the hassle out of actually having a party, especially for busy parents.
